Born in Russia. Vladimir started playing horn from the age of 12 at Talov School of Music. At thirteen he became a laureate of the All Russian Open Youth Competition of Wind Instruments (“PIFFERARI”, Moscow). In 2008 he entered the Gnessin State College of Music to study with Prof. V. Shish. From 2011 he became a member of the “New Life” Brass Ensemble after T. Dokshitser. In 2012 in the staff of the wind quintet Vladimir Mezentsev became a laureate of the first All Union Music Competition in nomination of “Brass Quintets”. In 2013 Mezentsev became a laureate of the 2nd International Competition after Dokshitser. The same year, Vladimir was announced a Yamaha Artist. As a member of a Brass Quintet, in 2016 he became a laureate of All Russian Competition in nomination of “Brass Instruments Ensembles”.
Vladimir Mezentsev is also a laureate of the 3rd All Russian Competition (2020) in nominations of Woodwind Quintets and Brass Ensembles.
Vladimir is also a laureate of the 3rd All Union Music Competition in the nomination of “The Art of solo performance”.
In 2021 V. Mezentsev became a laureate of the Russian National Youth Orchestra (РНМСО).
From 2013-2022 Vladimir has been a soloist of the Russian State Academic Symphonic Capella (conductor: Valery Polyansky).
Currently Vladimir Mezentsev is the concertmaster of the Horn group of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
