Born in Moscow, now she is 14 years old and lives in Venice.
Started to study piano at the age of 4. During first 2 years studied intensively with Maestro Alexander Maykapar, famous Russian cembalo, organ and piano player, professor at Gnessin Music Academy, with whom she made first serious progress in her studies, participating in Maestro’s masterclasses playing pieces of Bach, Mozart, Haydn etc. on piano, cembalo and organ. At the age of 6 Maya participated in organ concert of Maestro Maykapar in Lutheran Cathedral of Moscow, singing arias of Italian baroque composers and Verdi.
From 2012 she continued her studies with Silvia Urbanis, under her guidance she entered in “Benedetto Marcello” Conservatory of Venice in 2014 and from that moment joined the class of Prof. Massimo Somenzi. In 2016 she completed the 2nd grade of studies with “10 cum laude”.
Maya’s first important performance was in 2017 at the age of 11, when she participated in the Opening concert of new chamber music season at Venice La Fenice Opera Theater with pieces of Debussy and Bartok.
From age of 5 years she took part with top success in several Italian and international competitions, as well as in many concerts, organized by Venice conservatory, in Venice and other Italian cities. Every year she wins the Giol Competition of Venice Conservatory for talented students with relative stipend.
2020 is going to be for Maya the first year of cycle of concerts in important halls. Beside the present concert in Yerevan she will participate in solo piano concerts in Venice (Teatro La Fenice) and Munich (Schloss Nymphenburg) with music of Beethoven, Liszt, Debussy and Silvestrov, will play in September the 3rd piano concerto of Beethoven in Teatro Toniolo (Mestre, Italy) with Orchestra di Padova and del Veneto, and in October repeat the same concerto in Venice and Yerevan under baton of Maestro John Axelrod.
