The Honored Artist of RA, violinist Karmen Tosunyan was awarded with the title of a Laureate of the Republican Competition at a young age.
He graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory with Prof. Ara Bogdanyan and the postgraduate courses with Prof. Willy Mokatsyan. For about 25 years Karmen Tosunyan works at the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the 12 years of which as the ANPO Chief Concertmaster. Karmen has performed in famous venues of Europe, the USA, CIS countries, Middle East and Asian countries.
Karmen Tosunyan has performed in the staff of a number of chamber ensembles. In addition to this activity, Karmen Tosunyan for more than twenty years has been honorably representing Armenia in
the “World Orchestra for Peace” project directed by Valery Gergiev, for which she was awarded the title of “Artist for Peace” by UNESCO.
