Born in 2009 in Yerevan.
Victorya Ulikhanyan is a gifted young violinist and emerging composer. She began playing the violin at the age of five. She currently studies at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Music School in Yerevan under the guidance of Stella Altunyan, and in Europe she continues her training with Vladyslava Luchenko at LISAcademy.
From an early age, Victorya stood out for her expressive playing and technical precision. In 2018, she gave her first solo recital at the concert hall of the Tchaikovsky Music School. Since then, she has continued to develop her artistry both as a soloist and a chamber musician. In 2020, she became a member of the “New Names” program for talented Armenian children supported by the Artis Futura Music Foundation.
Victorya has been awarded numerous prizes in national and international competitions. She is the recipient of the 2024 Grand Prize at the AGBU Discovers Talents competition, and in the same year received Second Prize at the Edward Mirzoyan Composing Competition in Yerevan. Earlier awards include First Prizes at the “Golden Bow” competition (Russia) and the “Art-Music” and “Art Renaissance” competitions (Armenia).
As a performer, Victorya has collaborated with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra on several occasions between 2020 and 2023. In 2023, she was honored with a violin handcrafted by renowned German luthier Oliver Radke. She currently serves as the first violinist of the string quartet AMARAS, performing regularly across various venues.
Victorya has expanded her chamber music education through participation in the Primavera Chamber Music Summer Academy and the Zartonk String Academy (2024). In 2022, she took part in masterclasses led by Dmitrii Serebrennikov (Germany–Switzerland) and Bartek Niziol (AKSS Music Academy, Greece), gaining valuable insights into European violin traditions.
Victorya has performed in concert halls across Armenia, Austria, Germany, and Greece, including at the Komitas Museum-Institute, Komitas Chamber Music Hall and the Aram Khachaturian House-Museum. In 2022, she received a grant from the Women’s Organization of Armenia, supporting her continued musical development.
Currently, Victorya is actively engaged in festivals, competitions, and artistic collaborations.
