Eduard Dayan was born in Yerevan, Armenia on December 1, 2008, in a family of musicians. He started playing violin at the age of 8 with Prof. Arthur Ter-Hovanisian. Eduard played concerts with the Lebanon Philharmonic Orchestra, Gyumri State Symphony Orchestra, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra and concerts in Armenia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Russia, China, and Switzerland. He got 2nd prize at the ArmSymphony Al Violin international competition in 2021.
He was awarded a diploma at the Nutcracker international competition in Russia 2021, and a special prize to participate in a Masterclass in Interlaken with Prof. Zakhar Bron. He became a laureate at the Leonid Kogan competition in 2022. He was awarded 1st prize at Saulius Sondeckis 6th Competition in Lithuania 2022 and 1st prize at the London Classical Music Competition in 2023. From the beginning of 2022, Eduard was admitted to the academy of the world-famous violinist and teacher Professor Zakhar Bron and in a short time he achieved great results
In Armenia, Eduard studies at the Special Music School named after P.I. Tchaikovsky with Prof. Eduard Tadevosyan. Among his latest achievements are becoming the 2nd prize winner at the “Road to Classical Eurovision” competition in Armenia and Grand Prix at the “AGBU Discovers Talents” Music Competition. From March, 2024, Eduard is a scholar of the “Music for Future” Foundation (Yerevan, Armenia). He also achieved 1st prize in the 16th International Violin Competition named after Karol Lipinski and Henryk Wieniawski in Lublin, Poland, and was awarded the “First Fee” from the Micheal Stricharz Foundation Dall’Arco Hamburg and a gold medal. In November 2024, he achieved his biggest prize yet, which was winning 1st prize at the Khachaturian International Youth Competition in Beijing, China. His latest achievement was also in November 2024, where he was awarded 1st prize and a gold medal at the Arctic Delphic Games in Russia. He also represented his school at the International Music School concert in Ekatirinburg, Russia, as the best student of his school. As of March 2025, he was admitted into the Reina Sofia Superior School of Music to the class of Prof. Zakhar Bron.
