Born in Krasnodar. Although there were no musicians in the family, he started to play the piano at the age of 4 years old. When he was only 7 years old, Vadim gave his first concert.
In 1975 he entered the Central Musical School in Moscow and already in 1982 Vadim became a Laureate of the International competition «Concertino Prague». His teachers were Anna Artobolevskaya, Vadim Sukhanov and Professor Dmitry Bashkirov.
In 1989 he entered the Moscow Conservatoire in the class of professor Sergei Dorensky, and graduated from there in 1994. 1994-1996 Master’s degree at the same Conservatoire. During this period young pianist became a Laureate of Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition (Belgium), Paloma O’Shea Piano Competition in Santander (Spain), winner of the International «G.B. Viotti» Competition in Vercelli (Italy). Twice he became a Laureate of the P. Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition ( 1994-3rd Prize, 1998-2nd Prize).

Besides concert activity, pianist gives master-classes throughout Europe, Brazil, Japan, Ukraine, USA, Russia, South Korea etc.
He is a jury member of international piano competitions.
In addition to recitals, Vadim acting ensemble with A. Knyazev, S. Krylov, B. Andrianov, A. Baeva, A. Buzlov.
Especially known for his duet with N. Lugansky (piano players perform regularly since 1995).
During the last year, Vadim Rudenko has performed in Russia.
In the spring of 2016, he began teaching at the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory.
