Born in Yerevan. Graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory (2005) and the postgraduate course in 2010 with Prof. Nelly Pirumyan. Sofya is a laureate of Republic and international competitions.
From 2013-2017 she worked at Saint Petersburg’s Mariinsky Theater, where she shared the stage with renowned singers like Placido Domingo, Jose Careras, Anna Netrebko and many others. She has collaborated with a number of conductors, among them Hovhannes Tchekidjian, Valery Gergiev, Riccardo Muti, Christof Eschenbach, Rolf Beck, David Gimenez, Karen Durgaryan, Sergey Smbatyan, Andres Orosco-Estrada and many others.
Currently Sofya Sayadyan is a leading soloist of the Yerevan Opera Theater. Among the roles she sang at this theater are: Liu “Turandot”, Violetta “La Traviata”, Anush “Anush”, Nedda “I Pagliacci”, Olympia “Arshak II” to name a few.
In Dubai and Kuwait Sofya has appeared with the Queen of the Night part in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”, receiving highest acclaim.
In 2017, after her performances in the US she has been awarded with special letters of thanks.
Sofya Sayadyan has appeared with concerts in Russia, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Poland, the USA, France, Turkey, Iran, Austria and Italy.
Sofya is a singer of the National Academic Choir of Armenia.
