Born in 1992 in Yerevan. Mikayel is the 1st prize-winner and laureate of the International “Renaissance” Competition-Festival, dedicated to the 140 anniversary of Komitas (2007).
In 2006 he became a scholarship holder of the International Spivakov Charity Fund, and has had many performances within the frames of the Fund’s concert activity throughout Armenia and abroad.
From 2009-2015 Mikayel has studies at the Yerevan Conservatory with Prof. Medea Abrahamyan.
In 2012 Mikayel participated and became a laureate of the «3rd Classics in the Streets» International Competition-Festival (Switzerland) in chamber music nomination.
In 2013 Mikayel Navasardyan was awarded the President of Armenia Prize in nomination of the “Classical Instrumental performance”. Since 2015 Mikayel works at the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra. From 2020 he is the concertmaster of the cello group.
From 2017 as co-founder and cellist of the “Yerevan String Quartet”, Mikayel Navasardyan participates in various cultural projects and charity concerts.
Since 2018 Mikayel performs as a solo cellist of the contemporary music ensemble “Assonance”.
