Last student of the legendary pianist Lazar Berman, Lorenzo Di Bella is an internationally acclaimed pianist, celebrated for his technical mastery and captivating musical interpretations. He received in 2005 the 1st Prize and Gold Medal at “V. Horowitz” International Piano Competition in Kiev (Wfimc). The following year, he was honored with the prestigious “Sinopoli Prize” by former Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi.
Di Bella has graced some of the world’s most renowned stages, including Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Michelangeli Hall in Bolzano, Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, Liszt Academy’s Grand Hall in Budapest, Prague (Rudolfinum and Smetana Hall), Muth Hall Wien, ‘Haydn Hall’ Eisenstadt, Moscow (Gnessin Hall), Montreal (Maison Symphonique), Shanghai (Oriental Center and Conservatory Hall), Kyev (Philarmonic Hall and Opera House), Utrecht (old Vredenburg Centre) and the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, where he performed with the Santa Cecilia National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro James Conlon.
In 2022 he debuted in the Wien Golden Hall of the Musikverein for the Musik der Meister serie. His international appearances span across major festivals and cities such as Berlin, Tbilisi, Sau Paulo, the Two World’s Festival in Spoleto, “Mi-To Festival”, Chopin Festival in Marianske Lazne, Mahler Festival in Jihlava, Festivals in Sombor and Novi Sad, Krakow Piano Festival, Madeira Piano Festival, “Società dei Concerti” and “Serate Musicali” in Milan, ETH in Zurich.
Lorenzo Di Bella has a very active teaching schedule. He serves as a piano professor at the Conservatorio “G.Rossini” in Pesaro and he gives international masterclass (Gnessin Academy Moscow, Imola Piano Academy, Shanghai Conservatory, Gulda Conservatory Wien, “Vladigerov” National Academy Sofia, etc.) As a visionary leader in the arts, he is the founder and artistic director of the Civitanova Classica Piano Festival, the Mugellini Music Festival, and the internationally recognized “La Palma d’Oro” Piano Competition in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy.
