Armenian tenor has been hailed as one of the most exciting lyric tenors of his generation. He has appeared in theaters as the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Berlin State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Zurich Opera, Opera Australia, Bayerische Staatsoper, Semperoper Dresden, Frankfurt Opera, Hamburg State Opera and Den Norske Opera in Oslo, Opera du Rhin in Strasbourg, Seattle Opera, Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. He was a guest artist of the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre from 2017 to 2019. Since 2016, Liparit is an artist of the Armenian Opera and Ballet National Academic Theatre, where he has appeared in La traviata, Carmen, La bohème and Il barbiere di Siviglia and Rachmaninoff’s Aleko.
Liparit’s repertoire includes roles as Alfredo in La traviata, Rodolfo in La bohème, Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore, Des Grieux in Massenet’s Manon, Don José in Carmen, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Vaudémont in Iolanta and Lensky in Eugene Onegin.
Highlights for recent seasons include Alfredo and Duke of Mantua at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Vaudémont in Iolanta with the Berlin Philharmonic. He made his house debut at the Easter Festival Baden-Baden as Vaudémont and at the Den Norske Opera in Oslo in Rigoletto. Liparit was Cassio in the Sony Classical recording of Verdi’s Otello with Jonas Kaufmann in the title role, conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano with the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
On the concert stage, he appeared at the XXI International Music Festival Stars of the White Nights in Saint Petersburg, Easter Festival in Moscow, Beethoven Fest in Poland, Mustonen Fest in Estonia, and Midem Fest in France. He also performed in benefit concerts dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide with Evgeni Kissin at Carnegie Hall and the Music Center at Strathmore in Washington. Witj the Armenian National Philharmonic, he appears in Verdi’s and Mozart’s Requiems and Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde. Liparit has collaborated with the conductors including Sir Antonio Pappano, Daniel Oren, Kirill Petrenko, Fabio Luisi, Antonello Manacorda and Bertrand de Billy.
During the 2023/24 season, Liparit makea a return to the Royal Opera House for L’elisir d’amore. He also performs as Rodolfo in La bohème at both the Teatro Regio di Torino and the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman. Following that, he takes on the role of Alfredo in La traviata at the Dutch National Opera and Semperoper Dresden, and later reprises the role at the LA Opera. Highlights for the future months are: Evgenij Oneghin at Covent Garden in London, La Bohème and Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Wiener Staatsoper, Rigoletto in Zurich and La Traviata at Bayerische Staatsoper.
Graduate of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, and the Komitas State Conservatory, Liparit is a Prizewinner at the Maria Biesu International Singing Competition (Second Prize) and the III Muslim Magomaev International Competition. In 2017, he was awarded the Golden Mask, as well as the Onegin National Opera Award (Saint Petersburg, 2016), the Artavazd National Theater Award as the best actor of the year (Yerevan, 2016) and Swallow Music Awards as Best Opera Singer (Yerevan, 2017). Liparit is a Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia.
