Juan Antonio Ramírez is considered one of the most versatile artists of the moment. His freshness and passion communicate an exceptional artistic quality in all areas that shows his successful career for more than 30 years.
He has worked with orchestras such as the soloists of London’s Covent Garden, the Academy of Europe, Timisoara Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, the Orchestra of Valencia, Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Palau de les Arts Community of Valencia, among others.
For more than a decade he has been artistic and musical director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Mediterranean, with which he has directed a wide repertoire such as Händel Messiah, Mahler’s Song of the Land, The Witch by Chapí, Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov, Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, The Barber of Seville by Rossini, The Boutique Fantasque by Rossini / Respighi, Fourth Symphony by Mahler, Porgy and Bess by Gershwin, Cosi Fan Tutte Mozart among many others.
He has worked with Lorin Maazel, Zubin Metha, Yaron Traub, Manuel Galduf, Michel Plasson and Valery Gergiev, among others.
Immersed in his career as an orchestra conductor, he has received master classes of international renown as Maestro Gómez Martínez, Sir Mark Elder, conductor of the Orchestra Manchester Hallé and Antonio Pappano. He has been taught by Simeon Pironkov at the University of Musik und Performing Arts in Vienna.
From 2000 to 2012 he was the artistic and musical director of the great events attended by up to 12,000 people, such as the Gala See You in Valencia organized by The Deutsche Bank; Gala Finale Mondiale Ferrari with Vicente Amigo and Aida Gomez.
He has been artistic director and director of the rock opera “Jesus Christ Superstar” in the Music Palau of Valencia.
He has artistically directed most of the concerts of Family Music Cycle Palau de la Música. He is the creator and director of musicals such as Saxo Piccolo and Company, Snow White, Peter Pan, The Carnival of Animals, Scheherazade, etc.
He has worked with international artists such as Plácido Domingo, Montserrat Caballé, Wynton Marsalis, Gloria Gaynor, Paquito de Rivera, Soloists of the Paris Opera Ballet, Joaquín Cortés, National Ballet of Cuba, Miguel Bosé, Farruquito, Antonio Canales, Ainhoa Arteta, Renée Fleming, among others.
