Hayk Tonguryan was born in 1982 in Echmiadzin. From 2009 he studied with the world-known bass Barseg Tumanyan. In 2015 Tonguryan graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory (classes of Prof. Raphael Hakobyants and Prof. Susanna Martirosyan).
In 2018 Hayk has received Grand Prix of the Crimea International Festival-Competition. He is also a laureate of several international competitions, among them: the 2nd Maria Biesu Singing Competition (2013, Chisinau), the 7th Bibigul Tulegenova Opera Singers Competition (2014, Astana), Gohar Gasparyan Opera Singers’ Competition (2014, Yerevan).
From 2016-2017 Hayk Tonguryan has been the leading soloist of Volgograd “Tsaritsinskaya” opera theater (Russia).
Hayk Tongurian’s repertoire includes a number of leading tenor parts such as Tamino (“The Magic Flute”), Cavaradossi (“Tosca”), Manrico (“Il Trovatore”), Saro (“Anush”), Turiddu (“Cavalleria Rusticana”) and other roles.
Tonguryan has participated also in oratorio performances: Requiems by Mozart and Verdi.
Since 2021 Hayk Tonguryan is a member of the Armenian National Academic Choir and a soloist with the Yerevan Opera Theater.
