Born in 1978 in Yerevan into a musician’s family. Hayk has studied at G. Budaghyan School of Music and later at Romanos Melikyan College of Music. In 2001 Hayk Ter-Hovhannisyan graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory (class of Prof. Alexander Kosemyan). From 1999-2012 Hayk Ter-Hovhannisyan has worked at the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra and the “Serenade” Chamber Orchestra. In 2012-2020 Hayk was the artist of the Lebanese National Philharmonic Orchestra and taught at the Lebanese Conservatory. Since 2020 Hayk Ter-Hovhannisyan is an artist of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
He has given concerts in Armenia and abroad and has participated in many festivals, collaborating with the renowned Armenian and foreign musicians such as Sergey Khachatryan, Daishin Kashimoto, Alexander Chaushian, Svetlana Navasardyan, Radovan Vlatkovic and others. He has participated in masterclasses of famous violists like Kim Kashkashian, Hartmut Rohde and Diemut Poppen.
