One of the important components of the uniqueness and magnetism of
Hanna Havrylets’ creative work is the melodicism and lyricism of her music. Melody, in the broadest sense, prevails in many of her compositions, not only in the choral genre but also in instrumental works. The ”vocal” titles of some instrumental compositions eloquently attest to this-Chorale, Canticum, Hymn. Moreover, the texture of her orchestral and ensemble works is often structured based on the principles of choral polyphony and multi-voiced choral writing. This approach makes her music-not only vocal (choral) but, most importantly, instrumental-highly accessible and engaging for listeners.
