Born in Yerevan. Graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory and postgraduate courses (class of Prof. Albert Broutyan).
During the years of study she has taken masterclasses from world known musicians such as Peter Oundjian, Kim Kashkashian and other viola players. As a soloist and concertmaster of the viola group Anna has collaborated with various ensembles and toured with the orchestras throughout Armenia, Russia, Middle East, the USA, Canada, Australia and Europe. From 2007 Anna has worked with at the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) as a concertmaster of the viola section. She has also appeared with this orchestra as a soloist, performing viola concertos of Bartok, Bruch and Weber, as well as appearing with her orchestra partners in chamber music performances. In 2015 Anna Gyogchyan was invited to take part in the concert of the Armenian World Orchestra to be held in Paris. The orchestra was comprised with the musicians of the Armenian origin from 50 countries of the world. The concert was organized under the patronage of the presidents of Armenia and France and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. In 2019 Anna realized the premiere of Dr. Naji Hakim’s Fantasy for Viola and Piano with the accompaniment of the author, who later dedicated the work to Anna. In addition, Anna is pleased to have participated in the charity humanitarian fundraising for the children of Lebanon.
