Artsvik Demurchyan was born in Yerevan. She graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory and postgraduate courses with prof. A. Saradjian. She is a laureate of V. Bellini (1998, Sicilia) and Elena Obraztsova (2001, Saint Petersburg) international competitions. Artsvik Demurchyan is a soloist of the Yerevan Opera Theater and an artist of the Armenian National Academic Choir. Artsvik has participated in the opera productions and oratorio performances of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra. Among her roles are: Anush, Shushan, Violetta, Gilda, Madame Butterfly,The Queen of Night and others. Artsvik toured to Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Germany, UK, Italy, Georgia, Beirut, Istanbul and elsewhere. The works of Armenian composers occupy a special place in the repertoire of Artsvik Demurchyan.
